Privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PureChems collects when you visit purechems.eu, including shop.purechems.eu (the "Site"), place an order or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to every visitor and customer of the Site.
For the purposes of data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), PureChems is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@purechems.eu.
1. Summary
- We collect only what we need to take and deliver your order, answer your messages, keep the Site secure and understand how the Site is used.
- Card details are entered on a hosted secure payment page run by a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Our analytics runs on our own domain. We do not use Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, TikTok Pixel or any other advertising tracker, and we do not set advertising cookies.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing support@purechems.eu.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Contact and delivery details: your first and last name, email address, phone number and delivery address, entered at checkout.
- Order details: the Products you buy, quantities, prices, any discount code used, the shipping method you choose and the order number.
- Confirmations: your confirmation that you are 18 or older, given when you first open the Site, and your confirmation at checkout that you are buying the Products for research use only.
- Messages: the content of any email you send us, including order questions, claims and any photographs you attach, and our replies.
2.2 Payment information
- Card payments: you enter your card details directly on a hosted secure payment page run by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code. We receive confirmation of whether the payment succeeded, the amount paid and a transaction reference, so that we can match the payment to your order.
- Cryptocurrency payments: when you pay in USDT, USDC, ETH, BNB, BTC or SOL, we record the coin and network you choose, the quoted amount, the payment address issued for your order and the details of the incoming transaction, such as the sending wallet address and the transaction ID. Blockchain transactions are public by nature and are recorded permanently on the relevant network, which neither we nor anyone else can change.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Technical information: like every website, the Site receives the information your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language setting and the page that referred you.
- Usage information: our first-party analytics, which runs on our own domain, records which pages you visit, what you click, the steps you take through checkout, and which link or campaign brought you to the Site. To tell visits apart, it uses a random visitor identifier and a session identifier that do not contain your name or email address. The storage involved is listed in our Cookie policy.
- Browser storage: the Site keeps a small amount of information in your browser, such as your cart, so that the Site works as expected. Details are in our Cookie policy.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal information, such as information about your health. Please do not send us such information.
3. How we use your information and why
We use personal information only for the purposes below, and each use rests on a legal basis recognised by the GDPR.
- To take, process and deliver your order, including taking payment, preparing your parcel, handing it to the carrier, sending your order confirmation and shipping emails with tracking, and handling cancellations, claims and refunds. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To answer your messages and provide customer support. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To check eligibility and intended use, by recording your 18+ confirmation and your research-use confirmation, and by refusing or cancelling orders where there is reason to believe the Products are intended for a use our Terms of Service do not allow. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in selling only to eligible customers and for research use.
- To prevent fraud and keep the Site secure, including detecting suspicious orders, misuse of discount codes and attacks on the Site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our business and our customers.
- To understand and improve the Site, by looking at which pages are visited, where visitors leave the checkout and which links bring visitors to the Site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving our shop.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping accounting and tax records and responding to lawful requests from public authorities. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our rights.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed those interests against your rights and freedoms. You can object to this processing at any time, as described in section 8.
The emails we send you are about your order: the order confirmation, shipping and tracking updates, and replies to your messages.
4. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with the parties below, and only as far as each of them needs it to do its job.
- Third-party payment processors, which handle card payments on their hosted secure payment page and process cryptocurrency payments. They act under their own terms and privacy policies for the payment data they handle.
- Delivery carriers, which receive your name, delivery address, phone number and email address so they can deliver your parcel and send you tracking updates. Most orders are delivered by Packeta. Some countries are served by other carriers.
- Our email delivery provider, which sends order and shipping emails on our behalf.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers, which host the Site, its database and our analytics on our behalf.
- Public authorities, courts and professional advisers, where we are required by law to disclose information, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- A buyer or successor, if the business behind the Site is sold or transferred, in which case your information would remain subject to this policy.
Service providers that process personal information on our behalf may use it only on our instructions and must keep it secure and confidential. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal information outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we make sure the transfer is protected, either because the European Commission has decided that the destination country provides an adequate level of protection, or by relying on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another transfer mechanism recognised by the GDPR.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
- Order records, including your contact and delivery details, the Products ordered and payment confirmations, are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Customer support emails and claim evidence are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to deal with any later claim relating to it.
- Analytics data is kept in a form linked to the random visitor identifier for a limited period, after which it is deleted or kept only in aggregated form.
- Information in your browser stays there for the periods set out in our Cookie policy, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Where we need to keep information for longer to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we keep it until that matter is closed.
7. How we protect your information
The Site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Card details are handled entirely by third-party payment processors and never pass through our systems. Access to order and customer data is limited to the people and service providers who need it to fulfil orders and support customers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Email is not always encrypted in transit, so please do not include more personal information in a message to us than your question needs.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal information. They are not absolute, and some apply only in certain circumstances.
- Right of access: to ask whether we hold personal information about you and to receive a copy of it.
- Right to rectification: to have inaccurate information corrected and incomplete information completed.
- Right to erasure: to have your information deleted where there is no longer a reason for us to keep it. We may need to keep some order records to meet legal obligations.
- Right to restriction: to ask us to limit how we use your information, for example while we check a correction you have asked for.
- Right to data portability: to receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have it sent to another controller where this is technically feasible.
- Right to object: to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, including analytics. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or we need the information for a legal claim.
- Right to withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, to withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@purechems.eu from the email address you used with us, and tell us which right you wish to exercise. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before we act on a request. We will reply within one month of receiving your request. If a request is complex, or if we receive many requests, we may extend that period by up to two further months, and we will tell you if we do. Exercising your rights is free of charge.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at support@purechems.eu and we will try to resolve the matter. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the EU country where you live, where you work or where you believe your rights were infringed.
10. Age restriction
The Site and the Products are only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe that a person under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other websites
The Site may contain links to websites run by others, including the hosted payment page of a payment processor and the tracking pages of carriers. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their policies before you give them any personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we change how the Site works or when the law changes. The updated version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make it clearly visible on the Site.
13. Contact
For any question about this policy or about your personal information, or to exercise any of your rights, email us at support@purechems.eu.
