Research Use Disclaimer

This disclaimer applies to every product offered on purechems.eu, including shop.purechems.eu (the "Site"), and to all information published on the Site. By using the Site or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Research use only

All products sold by PureChems are research chemicals and reference materials supplied strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research. They are intended to be handled only by qualified persons in a suitable research setting.

2. Not for human or veterinary use

Our products are not for human consumption and are not for veterinary use. They must not be ingested, injected, inhaled, applied to the skin or administered to humans or animals in any other way.

Our products are not medicines, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics or medical devices. They have not been approved or authorised by any medicines, food or health authority for use in humans or animals, and they are not sold for any diagnostic, therapeutic, cosmetic, household or food use.

3. No medical claims or advice

Nothing on the Site, in our emails, on our product labels or in any other communication from us is a medical claim, a health claim or medical advice. No product is offered for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation or prevention of any disease or condition.

Product descriptions, summaries and references to published studies are provided for scientific and reference purposes only. They describe the findings of research by others and must not be read as a recommendation or suggestion that any product be used in humans or animals. We do not answer questions about dosing, administration or the effects of any product in humans or animals.

4. Who may buy

The Site and our products are intended only for adults aged 18 or older who are researchers, qualified professionals or institutions buying for lawful research purposes. When you first open the Site, you are asked to confirm that you are 18 or older. At checkout, you are asked to confirm, by ticking a box, that you are buying the products for research use only. An order cannot be placed without both confirmations.

We may refuse or cancel any order, and refuse future orders, where we have reason to believe that a product is intended for human or animal use, that the buyer is under 18, or that the purchase is not for lawful research purposes.

5. Buyer responsibility

By placing an order, you accept full responsibility for the products from the moment they are delivered. In particular, you agree that you will:

  • use the products only for lawful laboratory and in-vitro research;
  • handle, store and dispose of the products safely, in line with good laboratory practice, the storage conditions given for each product and all laws and regulations that apply to you;
  • make sure that only qualified persons have access to the products;
  • not resell, supply or give the products to any person for consumption, or for any purpose that is prohibited by law;
  • check, before you order, that the purchase, import, possession and use of the products are lawful in your country.

You assume all risk and liability arising from your possession, handling and use of the products. PureChems is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from the use or misuse of any product, including any use that is not permitted by this disclaimer or our Terms of Service.

6. Product quality

We describe our products as accurately as we can, including their specification and, where available, a Certificate of Analysis (COA). A Certificate of Analysis reports the results of testing on a sample from a production batch. It is not a statement that a product is safe or suitable for any use in humans or animals.
