iHerb peptides and BPC-157: what you get and what it costs

iHerb is a large online supplement shop. Under the word "peptides" it sells two different things: collagen peptide powders (a food supplement) and, from the brand ProHealth Longevity, BPC-157 capsules (500 mcg, 60 capsules) for EUR 142.88 and a BPC-157 probiotic for EUR 119.31, both sold as supplements. Research peptides are a separate category: lyophilised compounds like BPC-157, GHK-Cu and TB-500, sold for in-vitro laboratory research only, with a certificate of analysis per batch. Our BPC-157 500 mcg x 60 capsule is the same count and strength as the iHerb one, at EUR 59.99 (checked November 2026).

What does iHerb actually sell under "peptides"?

Two things that get mixed up because they share the word "peptide".

The first is collagen peptides. These are food supplements: hydrolysed collagen powders you stir into a drink. On iHerb a search for "collagen peptides" returns thousands of results, led by Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (567 g, EUR 70.84), Sports Research Collagen Peptides (454 g, EUR 53.84) and California Gold Nutrition CollagenUP marine collagen (464 g, EUR 43.52). They are sold to drink for skin, hair and joint support, and have nothing to do with research compounds.

The second is BPC-157. iHerb does sell it, as finished capsules from one brand, ProHealth Longevity: BPC-157, 500 mcg, 60 capsules at EUR 142.88, and a BPC-157 Ultra Probiotic, 60 capsules, at EUR 119.31. There is also a Neurogan Health GHK-Cu copper peptide tablet (120 mcg, 60 tablets, EUR 31.28) that was marked temporarily unavailable when we checked. All of these are listed and sold as supplements for people.

How are research peptides different?

Research peptides are the same molecules by name, but they are a different product category. They are supplied as lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial, labelled and sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research, not for human or animal use. A buyer reconstitutes the vial with bacteriostatic water for bench work.

The thing to look for is a certificate of analysis (COA). It states identity (usually by mass spectrometry) and purity (by HPLC) for the batch you are buying. We publish purity of 99% or higher and show the COA on the product page for 41 of our products. You can read how each batch is made on our process page: solid-phase synthesis, preparative HPLC purification, identity and purity checks, then lyophilisation and sterile filling.

So a supplement capsule and a research vial can both say "BPC-157" and be two separate things: one is a consumer product, the other is a lab reagent with batch testing on show.

iHerb BPC-157 capsules vs our BPC-157 capsules

This is the one honest like-for-like on the page, because both are capsules at the same count and strength.

  • iHerb (ProHealth Longevity): BPC-157, 500 mcg, 60 capsules, EUR 142.88. A finished consumer supplement from a named brand, with 207 reviews and a 4.5 out of 5 rating on the listing. A certificate of analysis was not shown on the page we read.
  • PureChems: BPC-157, 500 mcg, 60 capsules, EUR 59.99. Sold for in-vitro laboratory research only, with the COA on the product page.

Same 500 mcg, same 60 capsules. The price difference is large (EUR 142.88 against EUR 59.99), and the reason is the category: iHerb's is a branded, reviewed supplement sold to take; ours is a research compound sold to test, with the batch certificate published. If you want a consumer supplement with reviews, iHerb's listing does that. If you want a research-grade compound with a COA you can check, that is what we sell. We also stock BPC-157 in vials, from 10 mg, and a BPC-157 and TB-500 mix.

What about TB-500 and GHK-Cu on iHerb?

Short version: patchy. A search for GHK-Cu on iHerb brought up one copper peptide item, a Neurogan Health tablet at 120 mcg per tablet, which is a cosmetic-level dose and was listed as temporarily unavailable. We did not find TB-500 on iHerb at all.

For research use these are standard items in our range: TB-500 5 mg at EUR 39.99 and GHK-Cu 100 mg at EUR 49.99, both lyophilised vials with a COA. Note the scale difference: a 100 mg research vial is a different kind of product from a 120 mcg supplement tablet, so there is no fair price-per-gram comparison between them. You can see the full list on our catalogue.

What to check before you buy, wherever you buy

Three questions settle most of it.

  • What is it sold as? A food supplement and a research compound are different products, even under the same name. Buy the one that matches what you need.
  • Is there a certificate of analysis? For research peptides, a batch COA with HPLC purity and mass-spec identity is the thing that tells you what is in the vial. We show it on the page and never say "COA on request".
  • Does the strength match? Compare the same count and the same amount. A 500 mcg capsule against a 500 mcg capsule is fair; a 100 mg vial against a 120 mcg tablet is not.

Frequently asked questions

Does iHerb sell BPC-157?

Yes. iHerb lists two BPC-157 products from ProHealth Longevity: BPC-157 500 mcg, 60 capsules at EUR 142.88, and a BPC-157 Ultra Probiotic, 60 capsules, at EUR 119.31 (checked November 2026). Both are sold as food supplements.

Is the iHerb BPC-157 the same as research BPC-157?

It is the same compound by name, but a different product category. The iHerb capsules are a finished supplement sold for people to take. Research BPC-157 is a lyophilised compound sold for in-vitro laboratory research only, with a certificate of analysis per batch.

Why is the iHerb BPC-157 so much more expensive?

At the same 500 mcg and 60 capsules, iHerb's ProHealth Longevity product is EUR 142.88 and ours is EUR 59.99. The gap comes from the category and the brand: a reviewed consumer supplement versus a research compound sold with its COA on the page.

What are iHerb collagen peptides?

They are hydrolysed collagen powders, a food supplement you drink, from brands like Vital Proteins, Sports Research and California Gold Nutrition. They are not research peptides and are not related to BPC-157 or GHK-Cu.

Does iHerb sell TB-500 or GHK-Cu?

We did not find TB-500 on iHerb. For GHK-Cu it listed one low-dose copper peptide supplement tablet (120 mcg) that was temporarily unavailable when we checked. We stock TB-500 and GHK-Cu as research vials.

Can I use iHerb collagen peptides for lab research?

No. Collagen peptide powders are a food supplement, not a research-grade compound with a batch certificate of analysis. For research use you want a lyophilised peptide with a COA on the page.

Where can I buy research peptides in Europe?

We ship research peptides with tracked delivery across the EU. Prices and testing are set out in our facts page, and we compare the main EU shops in our guide to peptide shops in Europe.
