What is Gonadorelin?
Gonadorelin is the synthetic form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), the hormone the hypothalamus uses to signal the pituitary. It is a decapeptide with exactly the same ten amino acids as natural GnRH (pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2). At the pituitary it binds GnRH receptors and triggers the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). Its half-life is only a few minutes.
